  • Earthworm, what a stinky creature! (and a slimy one too😂)


  • Earthworms are hermaphrodites.
  • Earthworms spend most of their lives underground, creating complex burrow networks. 
  • Earthworms have tiny retractile bristles along the body which help give it grip and a slippery mucus covering, allowing the worm to move through even the hardest earth.
  • Earthworms will anchor their tail in its burrow and at any sudden noise it will slither back into the earth.
  • The earthworm is such a familiar creature that it is rarely given a second thought, yet its contribution to soil fertility is enormous. 
  • Many animals get their food from the soil, but the earthworm eats the soil itself.

  Shark, what a sharp animal! (you might have recognized this in the movie "DEEP BLUE SEA"😂)  Great sharks can be found throughout the world’s oceans, mostly in cool waters close to the coast.
